What is a paintball?
A paintballs is the projectile fired from a paintball marker, they are round gelatin capsules filled with a water soluble dye solution that is meant to break on contact. The braking of the paintball marks the target with the liquid inside.
What is a Paintball Marker?
Paintball markers are a mechanism that resemble a gun designed to launch paintballs from it. Not only do. these markers come in many designs and mechanical advantages and disadvantages but hey also vary in price from $100 or less all the up to thousands of dollars. The two main types of vales used in paintball spool Valves and poppet valves. At Paintball park you will here terms like mech, electro, pump and so on. These terms describe how the marker reload function works. Some paintball guns have different types of shooting functions like Semi-auto, reactive, 3 round burst, ramping and full auto while others you have to pump each time it fires.
What is paintball?
Paintball is a fast action sport where you compete to eliminate your opponent from the game by hitting them with a paintball. Once the paintball breaks on the opposing players body or gear they are eliminated from the game. During most game styles they will then have to wait till the next game is started before they can rejoin the action. There can be team vs team competing against each other or 1v1 matches were a single player plays another.
Semi-Auto
A firing mode where a paintball is fired every time the trigger is pulled.
Reactive
A firing mode where a paintball is fired when the trigger is pulled and also when it is released.
3 round Burst
A firing mode where 3 consecutive paintballs are fired when the trigger is pulled.
Ramping
A firing mode where paintballs fire at a higher rate then the trigger is being pulled.
Full-Auto
A firing mode where paintballs are continuously fired when the trigger is puled.
Pump
A paintball marker that is referred to as a pump, is a marker that requires you to manually actuate the pumping mechanism to load a paintball then the trigger is pulled to fire it.
Mech
A mech paintball marker utilizes a system that loads and fires a paintball through mechanical means only. No electronic assistance is used.
Electro
A electro refers to a paintball marker that uses a power source to operate the system and assist in cycling the round. These can be simple sear trippers to complex spool valves.
How old do you have to be to play Paintball?
Many of us have back problems, it is a very wide problem for people, ever since we started walking on our tow legs and raised our backs a large percent of human have suffered pain in the back from different reasons.
Does being shot with paintballs hurt?
The quick answer is Yes, some shots hurt more then others. The shots that hurt the most are when the paintballs don't break. We go to the extremes to bring a higher then average quality of paintball to our customers to avoid bounces.
Do you need to be with a group to go play paintball?
No, in fact most players come out to play paintball by themselves. We will integrate you into a group so you will have people the play against. This is a great way to meet new people that like the same sport as you do.
What kind of safety equipment is there?
In Paintball your main piece of safety equipment is your Paintball Mask or other wise know as goggles. This single piece of equipment is to be worn any time you are on the playing field. But other then that there is gloves, vests, elbow pads, knee pads, slide shorts, neck protectors, jerseys and pants. All of this equipment isn't necessary to play the sport.
Can i bring my own paintballs to the field?
No! At most fields and that including Palm Bay Paintball Park you can not bring off field paint. We have specially formulated paintballs designed to be brittle enough to brea10k on contact. Off field paint can vary and can cause damage to persons and there property.
What should i wear to play paintball?
Paintball can be played in all types of apparel but we recommend that if its your first time or for at least the first few times where pants and a long sleeve shirt. If its not hot out a hooded sweatshirt will help you to get use to the impact of a paintball. Open toe shoes or sandals are not allowed on the field. Appropriate paintball foot wear is sneakers, cross-trainers, boots or cleats are preferred.
